Defibrillators Save Lives

Could you save a life? You could if you have been trained to use a defibrillator like the one outside Exeter Street Hall!

Each year in Britain around 30,000 people are struck by sudden cardiac arrest outside of an hospital environment. They can affect anyone at any time – from young children at school, to adults when they’re at home, work or out in public places. If victims aren’t treated properly, more often than not, cardiac arrests are fatal.

If a defibrillator is used within 3-5 minutes of cardiac arrest, survival rates jump from 6 per cent to 74 per cent.

Flora Schnider of local organisation Elements First Aid is providing FREE training in how to use the equipment – and possibly save someone’s life!

Please sign up for either of the sessions on November 4th or 15th at the Hall by booking your free place by registering with Eventbrite here.

In exchange for just two hours of your time one day you could save someone’s life.
