Film Friday: Song of the Sea

The enchanting Irish animation SONG OF THE SEA tells the story of Ben and his little sister Saoirse – the last Seal-child – who embark on a fantastic journey across a fading world of ancient legend and magic in an attempt to return to their home by the sea. Nominated for Academy Award ‘Best Animated Feature’, the film takes inspiration from the mythological Selkies of Irish folklore, who live as seals in the sea but become humans on land.

Directed by Tomm Moore (The Secret of Kells), SONG OF THE SEA, features the voices of Brendan Gleeson, Fionnula Flanagan, David Rawle, Lisa Hannigan, Pat Shortt and Jon Kenny.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Tickets still cost £5.00 for each child, but there is now no charge for a Parent or Carer who is accompanying up to 4 children. When purchasing children’s tickets please also “purchase” at the same time a free P/C4FREE ticket.

* Since responsible supervision is essential, at least one Parent or Carer should be present for the duration of the film for every four children.
