MARK CAREY was brought up in Exeter in Devon. He trained at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
Mark has been an actor and a writer for over thirty years now. As an actor he has worked in Ludlow, Southwold, Derby, Exeter, Westcliff, Newbury, Nottingham, York, Northampton, The Orange Tree in Richmond, The Southwark Playhouse, Coventry, Birmingham, The Arts Theatre as well as on tour and in the West End.
As a member of the Royal National Theatre Company Mark worked on Betrayal, The Relapse and The Merchant of Venice all for Trevor Nunn.
Mark wrote “The Last Country House” a play about Castle Drogo which was broadcast on Radio 4 in 2003. Mark also wrote and Directed “Dick Whittington and his cat Ron” a panto’, for Cygnet Theatre.
On TV he has appeared in The Invincibles, Widows, Doctors, Murphy’s Law, Underbelly, Doc Martin, Casualty, Allo Allo, London’s Burning and Luther.
Marks many Radio Appearances include Wuthering Heights, Ashes to Antarctica, The Kingsnorth Six, the Archers and Homefront.
Mark played Macbeth, Bottom, The Inspector in An Inspector Calls, Frank in Educating Rita, and Torvald in A Dolls House at the Bridge House Theatre, Warwick.
