‘Feeling Flush’ Fundraising Campaign

Help us rebuild our toilet block and make it fit for the 21 century!

Thanks to our fabulous building team (here’s volunteer Manolis below) we’ve been able to complete some remedial work on our shabby toilet block but this is only a temporary fix.

We’re aiming to have our new toilet block built in 2024.

We have submitted plans to rebuild the block, increasing the number of toilets which will be better for our hirers and our busy events. Our architectural plans are awaiting approval from BHCC.

You might know that Exeter Street has a Saxon burial ground running underneath it – which makes building work a bit more complicated.  So we’ve also had to engage an archaeologist who will report on the works before and during the build.  We’ve also recently appointed a Quantity Surveyor and we are just about to be assessed by a structural engineer. Its all systems go!

Thanks to your generous support during the ‘A Hall for All’ Festival, more than £10k was donated to the ‘Feeling Flush’ campaign so we can start looking into grants. We’ve identified a few already so fingers crossed.  We’ll also need to obtain at least 3 quotes from building contractors.
