Our Rules
Exeter Street Community Hall Limited is a charitable Community Benefit Society registered with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014 (FCA registration no. 8161).
We are governed by Rules that detail the nature of the shares and the mangement and constitution of the society. Our Rules are based on the model rule set for charitable community benefit societies provided by Co-Operatives UK.
Occasionally, the Directors of the society will propose a change to the rules. Any rule change must be put to the members at an AGM and ratified by a majority of the members present. If this is successful then the change has to be submitted to the FCA for approval.
