The Great Get Together 2023

Its that time of year again. Get your diaries out and block out Sunday 25 June for the Prestonville Great Get Together 2023.  We’ve done this every year since the murder of Jo Cox MP.  In her memory, and for ourselves, we celebrate togetherness, community and kindness.

The road sections around the Chimney House will be closed from 10am-10pm – please move your car!  We have a fabulous line up of DJs and bands, games for the kids, cakes, Pimms and much more.  There will be fabulous food to buy and lots of time to chatter and laugh and enjoy our community.

NEW This year we are launching our inaugural Great Get Together Dog Show!  We’ll also be holding our very first plant sale.

How can you help? We need cake makers, face painters, plant donators, bunting erectors, clearer uppers and more.  Contact [email protected]

Some earlier Get-Togethers

Here are some of the pictures showing local residents enjoying themselves
and celebrating their sense of community and togetherness.

Aided and abetted by the sublime weather outside and a dominant England
performance inside – the overall atmosphere everywhere was one of happiness,
relaxation and enjoyment!

Then we scored!

Meanwhile, elsewhere other things were happening …
